Catholic Parishes Mono County

Mono County is a county located in the east central portion of the U.S. state of California, to east of the Sierra Nevada between Yosemite National Park and Nevada. As of 2000 the population was 12,853. The county seat is Bridgeport.

Mono County is on the eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range and is usually cut off from the rest of the diocese during winter. The only incorporated city in the county is Mammoth Lakes, which is located at the foot of Mammoth Mountain.

The parish church located in Mammoth Lakes provides for the spiritual care of vacationers during the winter and summer.
